Club Deuce in Miami

On Monday after Ultra was over, we hung out with some of the promoters, etc at a famous dive bar called Club Deuce on South Beach.  (Famous to me b/c they gave me food poisoning.  Seriously.)  It was a beautiful day outside, but you’d never know it inside that dark, smoky den whose claim to fame is in having been open 23 hours a day since the 50’s.  (They close in the morning for an hour to mop the floor.)

The characters in there!  There was a guy with an eyepatch.  A guy who would talk to you, but nothing he said sounded like words.  There were the dogs lounging on the floor.  Our old friend Matty from Tampa (whose arms are flailing around talking to Bunny in the video) there.  Oh, and for some reason, I caught this video of Henry singing an unlikely song… (watch for the eyepatch guy in the background!)

So, all in all Ultra was really cool.  Electronic music isn’t really my thing.  Actually, let me take that back.  House music isn’t really my thing.  But I met a lot of great people and got to spend time with friends and do some partying South Beach style on rooftop penthouses (thanks Bunny!) and hot tubs and stuff.  Henry’s thoughts on leaving Miami:
